This summer on social media we’re taking a special #MapMonday tour of the Mediterranean with our historical geological maps.

So far we’ve visited Sicily, Cyprus, Turkey and Spain. Follow us every Monday on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram to see where we go next - including an unusual map of Malta!

Many of the geological maps featured are available to order as prints in a range of sizes from our Picture Library.

EVENTS/ September Public Lecture - Salt tectonics in Provence: the evolution of ideas over a lifetime

Burlington House, Piccadilly - 27 September 2022 at 17:00 hrs

Registration is now open for our September Public Lecture in which Dr Rod Graham, our 2022 William Smith Medallist, will present on the salt tectonics of the sub-Alpine chains of Haute Provence and Alpes Maritimes.
